I grew up in California, went to college in Beloit, Wisconsin, followed by graduate school in San Francisco, California, and lived in New York City for 9 years and moved back to California.

My undergraduate degree is in Fine Art and Art History with a minor in Asian Studies from Beloit College. And I have an MFA in writing from California College of the Arts.

I've worked in museum education and arts programming for many places including the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, the Brooklyn Children's Museum, and most recently, the Richmond Art Center.

I'm stepping in as the Interim Director for Career Development at California College of the Arts and while I was the Assistant Director there, I helped many artists, writers, and designers launch successful careers and new ventures.
